Description
Peppermint oil is derived from the Ceylon peppermint plant, a cross between water mint and spearmint. Peppermint oil is commonly used as flavoring in foods and beverages and as a fragrance in soaps and cosmetics. Peppermint oil also is used for a variety of health conditions and can be taken orally in dietary supplements or topically as a skin cream or ointment. Very concentrated form of peppermint oil can be used for aromatherapy or diluted and applied to the skin. Also, the capsule version of peppermint oil can be taken as dietary supplements. Peppermint oil has a sharp odor that’s cool and refreshing. Its taste is similar and familiar with the coolness in your mouth after you consume something with a peppermint flavor.
